The National Civil War Museum - Gallery of Campaigns & Battles of 1864-65

The final years of the War are explained in this gallery as General Grant faces General Lee in the most intense fighting of the conflict. General Sherman takes on General Hood in the struggle over Atlanta, capturing that city and then marching his army to the sea. General Sheridan defeats General Early at Cedar Creek and reduces the Shenandoah Valley to a wasteland. These attacks lead to the fall of the Confederate Capital at Richmond.
